Joanne Wright, Vice President of IBM Enterprise Operations and Services, is building the Premier Cognitive Enterprise for IBM and its Clients by unleashing the power of data, workflow, and technology enabled by an empowered and agile workforce. Previously, Joanne was the Chief Supply Chain Officer, responsible for the strategy, execution, and transformation of IBM’s global, end to end supply chain, delivering to clients across more than 170 countries. In this role, she led the introduction of cognitive technology for a transparent, intelligent and predictive supply chain in partnership with Watson. Joanne continues to accelerate IBM’s transformation through her leadership, talent development, and a culture of inclusion, agility, and innovation.
Joanne is a member of IBM’s Acceleration Team (top 250 executives), the Executive Sponsor of Global Women of IBM and a member of Women in Technology International. She is an executive board member of Supply Chain Leaders in Action and United Way of Westchester-Putnam. She also serves on the advisory board of the University of Tennessee’s Global Supply Chain Institute and is one of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen.
She is a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, with a BA Honors degree in Business and Marketing. She also holds a Diploma in Procurement Management from Strathclyde University, Scotland.
Mother of 11-year-old twins, Austin and Hope, Joanne loves to play tennis, swim and cook. Joanne has become an active member of the Brookfield Parent Teacher Organization and manages the Brookfield Soccer Team.
