Suni joined UBS Asset Management as Head of Investments in July 2017. She is responsible for CHF 677 billion of the CHF 819 billion in invested assets under management, as of July 31, 2018. She is a member of UBS AM’s Executive Committee, which sets the division’s overall business strategy, and of the AM Risk Committee. She is also a member of the UBS Americas Management Committee. Before joining UBS, Suni worked at Citigroup for almost 25 years, most recently as the Regional Head of Markets for North America, with responsibility for sales, trading, origination and research across all fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and municipal businesses. Suni was also a member of Citi’s Pension Plan Investment Committee and a Director on the Board of Citibank Canada. During her earlier career, Suni was Citi’s Global Head of Fixed Income Research (2004-2008), was the Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets, and served as CEO of The Yield Book Inc., and analytics company and wholly-owned subsidiary of Citigroup. She started her Wall Street career at Merrill Lynch & Co. in Investment Banking. Suni is a prominent diversity champion, both in the financial services sector and the wider business community. She serves on UBS’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee and is a senior sponsor of UBS’s, All Bar None initiative. She also represents UBS on the Board of @MAKERS, a partnership program that aims to disrupt the way companies traditionally think about female leadership. Previously, she served as the co-head of Citi Women and on the Board of Directors of The Forte Foundation, a US non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women leaders in business. Ms. Harford is also passionate about awareness and support for our veteran community, and is involved in many organizations in this regard. Suni has worked with First Lady Michele Obama’s Joining Forces initiative and is a founding member of Veterans on Wall Street, a coalition of major financial services firms established in 2010 to engage the broader industry in efforts to support our transitioning veterans. For those efforts Ms. Harford received the Outstanding Civilian Service Award from the US Army. Suni has held seats on the Board of several industry associations including the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation and SIFMA (Securities Industry Financial Management Association), and is a regular contributor to industry conferences and keynotes. Ms. Harford often appears on CNBC providing her views on the capital markets, and has been named one of American Banker’s Top 25 Women in Finance for several years. Suni lives in Connecticut with her husband Woody, their three children Devon, Jenna and Liam, and their dogs.
