Lisa Michelle Borders is the first President & CEO of TIME’S UP joining the organization with more than three decades experience in the private, public and service sectors.
Prior to her appointment at TIME’S UP, Borders was the fourth President of the Women’s National Basketball Association and the Vice President of Global Community Affairs at the Coca-Cola Company. Borders also previously served as the President of the Henry W. Grady Health System Foundation and as the President of the Atlanta City Council of Atlanta, Georgia from 2004 to 2010, where she was responsible for presiding over and maintaining relationships with the city government.
Borders obtained a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master’s degree from the University of Colorado. She currently serves on the Duke University Board of Trustees. Borders is the granddaughter of Rev. Dr. William Holmes Borders, Sr., pastor of Wheat Street Baptist Church from 1937-1993.
