Katelyn Ohashi is a six-time All-American gymnast and a student-athlete for UCLA’s gymnastics team. In 2019, a video of her perfect 10 floor exercise routine went viral online, with almost 110 million views across the different UCLA Gymnastics platforms alone.
Ohashi is currently in her final year at UCLA where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies. Ohashi works with homeless shelters and spearheaded a fundraiser for Bruin Shelter, a student-run shelter for homeless students at UCLA.
In her free time, Ohashi enjoys writing, poetry, photography, going to the beach. Her poetry focuses on topics such as body-shaming and empowerment. After graduating in June 2019, the Seattle-native hopes to intern at Players’ Tribune in New York, work with women who have been affected by domestic violence, and write a book. However, Ohashi’s dream goal is to be a contestant on Dancing With the Stars.
